ONLINE GERMAN COURSE PROGRAM
The German courses for the February 2025 term will be organized under the collaboration of Turkish German University TAÜ-SEM and the International Balkan University Lifelong Learning Center (IBU LLC). Registration is open for all levels during the pre-registration period. Each course will be opened upon reaching the minimum participant requirement of 15 students per level.
If the participant has prior knowledge of German, a placement test will be conducted to determine the appropriate course level.
GERMAN COURSE SCHEDULE
For the April 2025 term, the online German courses will be conducted:
• Weekdays (Tuesday & Thursday): 16:00 - 19:30
• Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): 09:00 - 12:00
IMPORTANT DATES
• Pre-registration period: 1 February 2025 - 15 March 2025
• Placement test dates: 15 March - 25 March 2025
• Course start date: 5 April 2025
Participants can register via the online registration link provided during the pre-registration period. If the course reaches capacity before the deadline, the registration form will be closed.
PLACEMENT TEST
Participants marking a level other than A1.1 (Beginner) in the pre-registration form will receive the placement test online. Those selecting A1.1 Beginner Level do not need to take the placement test. Placement results and class schedules will be announced after the test.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
1. Pre-registration form: Available online from 1 February 2025 by IBU LLC Website.
2. Payment Receipt: Payment will only be requested after the placement test, evaluation, and class assignments are finalized. This also applies to participants registering for the A1.1 beginner level.

Payments should be made to the bank account indicated in the confirmation email with the subject “Class Opened” after registration.

If someone other than the participant is making the payment, their name, contact details, and the participant’s name must be included in the payment description.
IMPORTANT NOTES
1. E-mails regarding placement tests and updates will be sent throughout the registration period. Participants are advised to check their inbox and spam folders frequently.
2. A new term for General German Language Courses starts every two months.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND PARTICIPATION RULES
1. Certificates from institutions like TÖMER or Goethe-Institut are valid, and participants can continue from their completed level.
2. Class availability will be determined based on the number of applicants for each term.
3. Course content responsibility lies with the assigned instructor.
4. If a course cannot open due to insufficient participants (minimum 15), legal or extraordinary reasons, paid fees will be refunded. No additional interest or compensation will be provided.
5. Attendance is mandatory for 70% of the course to qualify for a completion certificate.
6. No refunds will be made for those who register but do not attend the course, unless approved by TAÜ-SEM management. Refunds will be processed within 60 days for such cases.
7. Discounts are available for TAÜ staff, immediate family members, disabled participants, and relatives of martyrs or veterans.
8. Participants who register are considered to have accepted the terms and conditions.

NOTE:
Please note the following regulations regarding the placement test:
1. If you would like to start at A1.1, you can easily join the course without any additional requirements.
2. If you have a valid certificate from recognized institutions (e.g., Goethe Institute), you can directly start from your certified level.
3. If you are unsure about your German language level, you must take a placement test organized by the Turkish-German University. Please follow the announcements for test dates and details.
