Course Description:
The Art Therapy Workshop is a hands-on, craft-based experience designed to introduce participants to the healing power of art through creative, practical activities. Across 8 weeks, participants will engage in a variety of artistic exercises, such as painting, sculpture, and collage, that support emotional expression and personal healing. This workshop focuses entirely on doing—creating art that helps release emotions, reduce stress, and promote well-being. No prior artistic experience is required, as the focus is on process over perfection.
Modules Overview:
Module 1: Introduction to Art Therapy Through Hands-On Creation
Participants will dive straight into art-making, using materials like clay, paint, and collage to explore the basics of art therapy.
Key Activities: Clay modeling, abstract painting, mixed-media collages
Module 2: Exploring Emotions with Color and Form
Participants will use various art mediums to express emotions through color, texture, and form. Focus is placed on how these elements relate to personal experiences.

Module 3: Self-Exploration Through Craft
Using therapeutic techniques such as visual journaling and mandala creation, participants will engage in creative exercises that focus on self-reflection and healing.

Module 4: Crafting for Anxiety and Stress Relief
Participants will engage in calming, repetitive craft activities that promote relaxation and stress relief, such as weaving, knitting, or creating abstract mixed-media pieces.

Module 5: Healing Through Sculpting and 3D Art
This module focuses on using 3D materials such as clay, wire, or paper mâché to create physical representations of emotions, allowing participants to release tension through their hands.

Module 6: Trauma-Informed Craft Therapy

Certification:
