Course Description:

The International Balkan University Lifelong Learning Center will organize this university-quality language education, specifically tailored for beginners to build a strong foundation in the Spanish language. This 6-week intensive program integrates participants into the high-quality educational ecosystem of the International Balkan University, renowned as one of the best language centers in the region. Utilizing modern and technological language education tools, the course equips students with essential skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Upon completion, students will receive a worldwide recognized certificate.

Modules Overview:

Module 1: Introduction to Basic Spanish (Week 1)

• Topics:
• The Spanish alphabet and basic pronunciation
• Introduction to simple greetings and everyday expressions
• Basic sentence structure (subject-verb-object)
• Numbers, days of the week, months, and seasons

Module 2: Essential Grammar and Vocabulary (Week 2)

• Topics:
• Understanding nouns, pronouns, and articles in Spanish
• Introduction to common Spanish verbs and verb tenses (Present Simple)
• Learning basic adjectives and adverbs
• Vocabulary for everyday activities: shopping, transportation, and directions

Module 3: Building Listening and Speaking Skills (Week 3)

• Topics:
• Developing listening comprehension through simple dialogues in Spanish
• Practicing speaking with common phrases and basic questions
• Role-playing everyday conversations (introductions, ordering food, etc.)
• Listening exercises with everyday topics

Module 4: Reading and Writing Skills (Week 4)

• Topics:
• Learning to read simple sentences and short texts in Spanish
• Writing basic sentences and filling in forms
• Reading exercises focused on comprehension of beginner-level texts
• Writing practice with short descriptions and emails

Module 5: Everyday Conversations (Week 5)

• Topics:
• Practicing dialogues for common situations (at the store, at the post office, etc.)
• Understanding and using polite expressions and requests
• Speaking practice with pair and group activities
• Vocabulary for social interactions and personal information

Module 6: Review and Practice (Week 6)

• Topics:
• Reviewing key grammar concepts (Present Simple, questions, etc.)
• Reinforcing vocabulary through games and interactive activities
• Group speaking practice for confidence building
• Final assessment: oral and written exercises
